What it holds
Beneficial ownership tells you who ultimately stands behind a company. Each record is one statement filed with the UK register of people with significant control, linked to the company by its company number.
| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Company number | The Companies House number of the company the statement is about. |
| Owner | Name, and whether the owner is a person, a company or another legal entity. |
| Nature of control | Shares, voting rights, the right to appoint directors or significant influence, in the bands the register uses. |
| Nationality and residence | For people, as filed. |
| Birth month and year | For people; the register does not publish the day. |
| Notified and ceased | When the control was notified, and when it ended, if it has. |
A registry record is not a screening hit. It means an official register recorded the company, person or instrument, nothing more. Registry figures are never added to the sanctions, PEP or debarment figures.
