What the list is

EU sanctions regulations are directly applicable in every Member State. They bind EU nationals anywhere in the world, companies incorporated in the EU, and any business done in whole or in part within the Union.

What a listing means

A listing usually means an asset freeze and a prohibition on making funds or economic resources available, directly or indirectly, to the listed person. Many regimes add travel bans, which the EU publishes separately; Crown Intelligence holds those too (see the EU travel-ban and designated-vessel collections below).

The legal text in the Official Journal is authoritative. The consolidated list is a tool to make it easier to apply, so check the regulation when a match matters.

Largest programmes on the list
